Your favorite SM artists are coming together to spread the holiday
cheer. SM Entertainment, which houses artists like Girls’ Generation,
Super Junior, BoA, will release a winter album 2011 SMTOWN Winter-The
Warmest Gift for the first time in four years on December 13.
It′s
been four years since the agency released its last winter album in
2007, and artists BoA, TVXQ, Trax, Dana, Sunday, Super Junior, Girls’
Generation, SHINee, f(x), Zhang Li Yin and J-min have all lent their
talent for the new release. The fact that the album contains music that
caters to each artist’s individual personality is sure to excite fans.
The album contains a total of 11 songs, including seven new tracks and
four remake tracks of Christmas classics like Last Christmas and Sleigh
Ride, which fans can enjoy throughout the holiday season.An English
version of the album will be released as well, as an expression of
gratitude to music fans worldwide by the agency’s artists, who have been
enjoying incredible popularity on a world tour that began in Seoul and
made stops in Los Angeles, Tokyo, Paris, New York and Shanghai, under SM
Entertainment’s global brand power. In accordance with the album
title, The Warmest Gift, Super Junior has taken on the role of the
gift-giving Santa Claus through track Santa U Are The One, which boasts
cute lyrics and a cheerful melody that is sure to keep the Christmas
spirit alive. TVXQ’s Sleigh Ride is a song that features a cheerful
swing rhythm and big band, orchestral sound that conveys the excitement
of the holiday season. SHINee’s remake of Last Christmas is a
synthpop-inspired, electronic dance track that highlights the group’s
distinct color.
Diamond
is a standard pop track that Girls’ Generation brings to life with its
unique charm, while f(x)’s Peppertones-produced 1, 2, 3 is a cute and
loveable winter song. BoA’s Distance is an R&B ballad with a simple
rhythm and phantasmal feel that is sad, yet refined. For the First Time
is an acoustic ballad that highlights Kangta’s sweet voice and causes
one to recall the times spent with the woman he loves. A rerecorded
version of Like A Dream from Trax’s third mini album that is well-suited
for the winter season, Zhang Li Yin’s remake of classic The First Noel,
as well as Dana and Sunday’s pop ballad Amazing and J-min’s remake of
John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Happy X-Mas are also included on the 11-track
winter album that is already garnering a lot of interest. The winter
